Awards

I am very honored to have been the recipient of several annual values awards during my time with Calspan, as well as awards received in recognition of efforts by fellow employees throughout the year.

Calspan's 2014 Values Award for Innovation:

While Judy has already been the recipient of numerous awards in her short tenure with Calspan, she epitomizes an innovative employee. She has found a way to provide support and help to every department in the company- whether through her creativity and strong sense of detail in proposals, or with her math and analytical abilities when it comes to budgets, matrices, program and tracking upgrades. She is tireless in her pursuit of perfection and commitment to Calspan - regardless of how many times she is pulled in at the last minute or when the work will require her time and attention days, nights and over the weekend. As an innovator, and driver of process, she has fostered changes that have improved our company.

Calspan's 2013 Values Award for Innovation:

Tightened deadlines are never an obstacle due to Judy's rigorous work ethic that does not waiver in achieving her goals. Judy has contributed in a significant way on many projects this year for various Calspan teams. Most recently, however, she has been providing valued assistance to the Finance team through her participation in the 2014 Budget process. She quickly assessed the processes that had been used in previous budget years and then created enhanced budgeting tools that SURPASS any other budget programs offered by outside vendors. In addition to the core platform that she created, Judy assessed the needs of end users and tailored documented procedures for each step of the process. Deserving of two Value awards today.

Calspan's 2013 Values Award for Inclussiveness:

Judy consistently provides assistance outside of her role and department. She shares her time and her knowledge to the benefit of the company as a whole rather than just her department. Whether it is helping with proposals for flight, marketing materials for crash test, or databases for quality – she does whatever it takes and never complains about it “not being her job.” Judy is the epitome of “sharing knowledge and information to help others succeed.” In addition to her willingly sharing her time and expertise, her performance and work product is consistently excellent – raising the bar for all those around her. She is a trusted and valuable member of the Calspan team.

Calspan's 2012 Values Award for Accountability:

Within two weeks of the employee’s arrival she quickly became an integral part of the Crash Data Research Center. By day 15, she had created a database and comprehensive user guide to support the crash researchers both in the Buffalo office and within the field. She has literally made contributions to every aspect of the work we do. Many of the operational measures we are using today are a direct result of her can-do spirit and commitment to excellence.

"What makes her effort special and greatly appreciated is her professionalism in developing this superb
instrument within the first five weeks of employment and her enthusiasm in broadening its scope
from original design concepts. Her careful listening to desires of staff and their suggestions
for improvement with next day implemented changes has resulted in widespread acceptance.
Equally impressive has been her dedication and commitment to excellence as noted by
her long hours and diligence in ensuring the Case Tracker meets and exceeds specifications."
Jim Page, Zone Center Manager, Calspan (former) in his M2E Award Submission, April 2012

"Many thanks for being a critical part of our GES solution and for all of the personal hours,
weekends, and the sustained tremendous effort week after week"
Sherri Steinback, Director, CDRC, Calspan (former) in her M2E Award Submission, May 2012
